EMEA Product Manager – Emergency Lighting

Based in Milan or Bologna, Italy, this role will define and implement product strategies that drive long‑term, sustainable growth for Eaton’s emergency lighting portfolio.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and implement a global strategic direction for the product portfolio, aligning with Eaton’s overall business strategy and growth objectives.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle—from development to obsolescence and aftermarket support, including New Product Introduction (NPI) development through the ProLaunch process.
  • Support and validate country‑level sales strategies for NPIs, focusing on margin improvement and leveraging unique selling propositions.
  • Train and develop internal stakeholders and external customers/partners; conduct regular Voice of Customer (VOC) activities to identify market trends and enhance user experience.
  • Monitor competitors and emerging technologies; stay current on new products, solutions, and services.
  • Collaborate with certification bodies to anticipate and influence product standards.
  • Provide support to the sales team for specific project requests.

Qualifications

  • University degree required, preferably in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the lighting industry, ideally in the Emergency Lighting sector.

Skills

  • Technical expertise in product management, especially in Emergency Lighting; experience managing life safety electrical products throughout their lifecycle (expertise in optics a plus).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong presentation abilities.
  • Analytical and business acumen; ability to interpret complex data and make sound business decisions.
  • Intercultural awareness; skilled in managing relationships across diverse cultures.
  • Digital mindset; comfortable using digital tools and technologies to drive efficiency and innovation.
  • Proven leadership, strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, self‑motivated, and capable of working independently.
