Our client, a leading automobile manufacturer, is recruiting for a Product Manager (Automotive) to join their business in Italy.

The role will support product strategy, market competitiveness, pricing positioning, and commercial policy definition in the local market, reporting to the Italian Head of Product Management.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct competitive analysis (benchmarking vs. key competitors in the local market)
  • Support product positioning strategy, ensuring alignment with brand and market needs
  • Define and monitor pricing strategy (list price, transaction price, incentives)
  • Analyze and optimize discount structures and commercial policies
  • Support sales volume planning and forecasting, providing data-driven assumptions and scenario analysis
  • Contribute to business case development and profitability analysis
  • Collaborate with HQ and local stakeholders on product planning and lifecycle management
  • Support product configuration and lineup management (versions, options, mix)
  • Provide market insights and recommendations based on data analysis
  • Support product launch planning and go-to-market activities, including performance tracking


Qualifications:


  • 3–5 years of experience in Product Management within an automotive OEM (mainstream brand)
  • Strong analytical and data-driven approach
  • Good understanding of automotive market dynamics, including fleet vs retail logic
  • Experience working with cross-functional and international teams (HQ interface)
  • Fluent Italian and English (mandatory); Chinese is a plus
  • Advanced Excel and Power Point skills (knowledge of Power BI/Tableau is a plus)


Preferred Background


  • Experience in Italian automotive markets
  • Exposure to EV products and new mobility trends strongly preferred
  • Experience in multicultural or fast-growing environments
  • Exposure to product configuration / lineup management
