Product Industrialization Engineer
Fulltime: Treviso, Italy
Role and responsibilities:
The MF Industrialization department in Treviso is looking for a Product Industrialization Engineer . In this role, you will be part of an international team and responsible for:
- Cooperate with several functions as part of the Product Introduction Team (PIT), with aim to plan and manage the introduction of new products either in-house or external production (outsourcing).
- Together with R&D, define the structure of the bill of materials and work cycles that allow for minimizing costs and optimizing the production process.
- Estimation of one-time investment costs, product cost estimation, project budget, tools/assets purchasing and start-up, assets correct management.
- Responsible of Design for Manufacturability: ensure that products are designed and produced to pursuit the best efficiency and quality. Interact with R&D and suppliers to ensure necessary optimization.
- Prepare technical documentation to support production processes.
- Coordinate modification activities on products/processes/production lines.
- Support the production team during mass production, coordinating the related technical activities and offering necessary support (problem solving).
- Identify ongoing opportunities for improvement of production yields and product reliability, through fixing the process issues, defining and leading solutions in collaboration with machine design function and the production (continuous improvement).
- Perform ongoing product cost reduction through coordination of Design to Cost (DtC) projects in term of material cost reduction, production process and testing strategy optimizations.
Skills needed:
- Degree in Electronics/Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge of electronics components and manufacturing processes (SMD and PTH technology), operating principles of production and assembly lines,
- Knowledge of assembly technologies and processes (concepts of efficiency, repeatability, measurement parameters).
- Basic knowledge of CAD drawing software.
- Good knowledge of standard office software.
- Good activity coordination and team working skills; ability to interact with several stakeholders as interface between functions and production team
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical mindset
- Ability to work in an international environment and collaborate effectively
- Flexibility to adapt to new technologies and frameworks
- Fluent English language skills complete the professional profile
Desirable skills:
- Previous experience introducing and consolidating new products and production processes in the electronics field;
- Knowledge of process validation and control principles (capability, SPC)
- Knowledge of Lean methodology and tools
