Position Summary

We’re looking for a Product Engineer - Axle System in Arco (TN) Location.

Main Responsibilities

  • Handle all the design aspects of Drivetrain Components across the entire lifecycle, including concept development, feasibility studies, and design analysis of new products.
  • Review and support product design, contribute to validation activities (test and validation program definition).
  • Analyze and support application processes and approvals; manage prototypes, production releases, and implementations.
  • Manage technical communication with customers in coordination with Sales and Program Management.
  • Support the optimization of current product ranges and the development of future designs. Knowledge in material engineering is a plus.
  • Collaborate with other functions, suppliers, and plant personnel to implement cost reductions, process improvements, and product enhancements.
  • Identify and develop new solutions to meet current and future customer needs.

Job Position Requirements

Education:

  • Master's Degree in Mechanical, Materials, Automotive, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.

Professional Experience:

  • 2-4 years in developing complex mechanical systems, with experience in analysis, design, and powertrain system development preferred.
  • Background in material engineering, including heat treatment and metallurgical analysis.

Hard Skills:

  • Knowledge of design and validation methods for mechanical components.
  • Familiarity with the industrial process from feasibility to production.
  • Proficiency in sizing tools for mechanical components and systems.

Languages:

  • English, upper-intermediate (B2) level or higher, both spoken and written. Additional languages are a plus.

IT Skills:

  • Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and internet use.
  • Knowledge of CAD (Creo), CAE (Abaqus, Romax, Adams), and PLM (TeamCenter) tools is advantageous.

Other Skills:

  • Focus on continuous improvement; proactive in proposing process enhancements.
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Team-oriented with good collaboration skills; self-starter with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed, from 1 week to 1 month.
