Position

The candidate, based in the production site of Bagno a Ripoli (FI), will join the Leather Product Development office. The Product Development Manager is in charge of leading his/her team to successfully develop new products, while meeting style, quality, cost/margin, lead time and quantity targets.

Job Responsabilities

  • Participate in technical meetings with style, modeling, and product management teams to ensure alignment on product vision and feasibility.
  • Lead and manage product developers, allocating resources based on workload, capacity, and product expertise.
  • Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams (in-house teams, head office - including new product development, marketing, and design teams).
  • Supervise all development phases, from initial concept to market readiness, ensuring projects are completed within established timeframes.
  • Maintain a strong focus on aesthetic requirements, cost targets, and quality standards throughout the development process.
  • Interface with production managers to ensure seamless information transfer and a smooth transition of products into manufacturing.
  • Proactively address and resolve any critical issues that may arise during the production phase, collaborating with relevant teams to find effective solutions.
  • Availability for frequent business trips within the national territory

Profile


Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Management / Product Design or in a related field is required;
8-10 years of product development experience within luxury firm;
Excellent communication skills;
Advanced knowledge of spoken and written English;
Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel);
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work successfully in a team, as well as independently;
