International branding company specializing in professional staffing and recruitment for middle management and professional employees is currently working with a customer, a business leader in security software, products, and services, and is looking for a:

About the role :

This postholder will be responsible for developing R&D within Entrance Control. This includes defining and delivering the R&D strategy to develop platform-based products founded on innovative new technology and materials, aligned with global product and technology roadmaps.

You will collaborate with Product Development to ensure innovation remains a priority. To define and deliver cost-effective, world-class Hardware and Internet-of-Things products, you will work with stakeholders such as Product Management, Sales, and Operations. This leadership role involves leading the engineering team and fostering a performance culture through training and mentorship.

More specifically, your responsibilities will include :

• Leading the design and development of new products in line with project objectives and the BUEC roadmap, ensuring timely, within-budget, and quality delivery.
• Developing a platform portfolio strategy utilizing new technologies and materials for long-term, cost-efficient product deployments.
• Building the team and processes to maximize effectiveness.
• Leading the UK product development team while building a global organization across all sites.
• Ensuring project delivery aligns with the project brief.
• Mentoring, guiding, and training a team of multi-skilled engineers.
• Evaluating and minimizing risks using methodologies like FMEA.
• Following company development procedures and ensuring full documentation for all projects.
• Developing cost and time plans for new projects and monitoring adherence, implementing mitigating actions when necessary.
• Working within the company's ISO standards and procedures.
• Managing projects within budgetary constraints in a cost-effective, organized, and professional manner.
• Performing other duties as required.

Requisiti :

• Experience in building cross-site multifunctional R&D teams driven by innovation and delivering solutions on time and within budget.
• Strategic leadership skills with the ability to translate market and industry trends into opportunities.
• Experience managing high-performing NPD teams and cross-functional teams for large-scale product launches and enhancements.
• Highly collaborative, capable of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Effective communicator and influencer, able to influence key partners and executive stakeholders.
• Significant project management experience in Agile and phase-gate development processes.
• Knowledge of DFM, DFMEA, verification, and validation testing.
• Understanding of legislative standards and directives compliance.

• Knowledge of manufacturing techniques including sheet metal fabrication, moulding, vacuum forming, and casting.
