Product Developer

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Product Developer to join our Global Product Development team at our Milan location.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Product Development in the realization of assigned styles, from design to final product , leveraging technical skills and attention to detail .
• Participate in handover meetings with the design team, proactively offering suggestions for improved construction , aesthetics , and manufacturing processes .
• Create and update for each product the Technical Pack (including sketches, artworks, etc.) and Bill of Material (BOM) during prototype, SMS, and bulk production phases.
• Coordinate the delivery of prototypes , SMS , and PPS according to the brand calendar, collaborating with regional sourcing teams .
• Provide guidance to achieve cost targets , ensuring alignment between style details and construction techniques.
• Plan and track the development schedule of all products to ensure timely completion .
• Receive, evaluate, and manage samples, implementing changes agreed during reviews and fitting sessions .
• Approve strike offs , mock-ups , and graphics when requested.
• Maintain constant communication with regional offices and buying offices to ensure a correct and timely product outcome.
• Support fitting sessions together with Product Development, designers, and pattern makers, ensuring execution of fit intent and fit standards .
• Interact with all brand departments, raw material sourcing , pattern makers , design , factories/vendors , and other cross-functional teams .
• Proactively promote sustainable solutions .

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in product development within a medium or large-sized apparel company .
• Basic knowledge of garment construction .
• Basic understanding of product categories , materials , manufacturing processes , and product development lifecycle .
• Ability to build trust and work closely with cross-functional teams .
• Strong desire to learn and curiosity for product and innovation.
• Proactive problem-solving attitude.
• Deadline-driven and organized mindset.
• Proficient in MS Office , Adobe Illustrator , PLM systems , and 3D CADs .
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Fluent English (written and spoken) is required.
• A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in design (Apparel) , Engineering , or Manufacturing is preferred, but we value your overall experience and professional achievements most.
