Join Schindler as a Product Configuration Architect (m/f/d)

To further strengthen our Global Product Configuration (GPC) organization, we are looking for a Product Configuration Architect who will ensure architectural integrity, alignment and quality across configuration models and integrated systems.

Your Responsibilities

As a Product Configuration Architect, you will be responsible for safeguarding architectural coherence, quality standards and cross‑system consistency of Schindler’s product configuration landscape.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Definition of generic configuration frameworks supporting global business processes and interfaces, in close collaboration with process owners, product owners and related stakeholders.
  • Identification, orchestration and continuous improvement of product and quality processes impacting multiple departments within CTO and the wider organization.
  • Leading and facilitating cross‑functional teams within CTO to define and drive product and configurator architecture strategies, contributing directly to the Product Configurator roadmap.
  • Maintaining continuous communication with product configurator modelers, providing guidance, coaching and architectural governance.


What You Bring (Required Qualifications)

  • University degree or equivalent (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering background).
  • Proven and strong leadership capabilities with a growth‑oriented mindset — 10+ years.
  • Expert‑level analytical skills and deep understanding of configuration logic and rule‑based architectures — 10+ years.
  • Solid experience in the elevator industry or comparable complex industrial environments — 5+ years.
  • Hands‑on experience with CPQ (Configure – Price – Quote) or similar configuration modeling environments; SAP VC knowledge is a strong asset — 5+ years.
  • Advanced knowledge of IT landscapes and strong understanding of business processes related to offer and order fulfilment — 5+ years.
  • Ability to lead, influence and align teams across diverse cultural and organizational contexts.
  • Structured, systemic thinking, strong problem‑solving skills, logical reasoning and a proactive mindset to challenge existing solutions.
  • English — C2 (Proficient).


Qualifications That Will Strengthen Your Profile (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with Camos Develop, CPQ solutions and SAP Variant Configuration (MM, SD).
  • Strong collaborative mindset with an end‑to‑end understanding of Sales Configurator processes and the ability to translate Product Owner strategy into execution.
  • Programming skills (VBA, C, Python, Java) combined with advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • In‑depth elevator product knowledge, including system architecture and component‑level engineering calculations.
