As a Product Assurance Engineer you will work closely with the project team to ensure that quality, reliability, and compliance requirements are implemented and maintained throughout the entire product life cycle.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO
- Analyze and implement Product Assurance requirements throughout the product life cycle, ensuring proper flow-down to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Draft and update the Product Assurance Plan (PAP) for the project.
- Define, implement, and verify Cleanliness & Contamination Control requirements, particularly for sensitive hardware, by identifying appropriate preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with Product Assurance standards during the various project phases (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.) using the relevant PA Gate Checklists .
- Collaborate with the project team to define Qualification Test Plans and Test Procedures , ensuring adequate coverage of design and operational risks and supporting qualification activities.
- Ensure that FMECA analysis and Affidability/RAMS are properly managed and maintained according to standard requirements, including the definition of Critical Items List (CIL) .
- Verify and ensure the application of PA requirements in all activities related to production, assembly, and testing , including quality audits and technical documentation control.
- Prepare, monitor, and maintain updated KPI and Quality MIP .
- Manage Non-Conformities (NC) by coordinating the Non-Conformance Review Board (NRB) and providing all necessary information.
- Ensure proper Configuration Management throughout the project phases, including drafting the Configuration Management Plan (CMP) .
- Conduct product audits and inspections , preparing checklists in collaboration with the Quality Department.
- Maintain effective communication with clients (space agencies and/or private industries), reporting product status and any critical issues.
- Promote a culture focused on Quality, Reliability, and Prevention within the project team.
YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in technical-scientific disciplines (preferably Engineering).
- 3–5 years of experience in similar roles or in high-tech environments (preferably related to Product Quality).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Knowledge of UNI EN 9100:2018 standard and aerospace, space, and defense industry standards.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and with international stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, operational discipline, and a structured approach.
- Excellent knowledge of the English language.
- Ability to correctly interpret technical drawings and product specifications.
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE
- Experience as PA on systems with electronic components.
