Procurement Specialist – EMEA (Energy & Infrastructure)
Reports to: Vice President, Finance
About the Company
Our client is a leading datacenter operator , delivering world-class colocation services and critical digital infrastructure across EMEA. As the company continues to expand, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to support purchasing activities across construction, materials, and especially energy and power supply contracts .
This role is ideal for someone with a background in procurement administration who enjoys working with vendors, managing structured processes, and playing a key part in delivering reliable, sustainable datacenter operations.
Role Purpose
You will coordinate day-to-day procurement activities across multiple projects and operating sites, with a strong focus on energy and power procurement . From issuing purchase orders to supporting vendor negotiations, you will ensure that essential materials, services, and utilities are sourced efficiently, delivered on time, and tracked against project and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support procurement processes for energy and power supply contracts , ensuring cost efficiency and compliance.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders for materials, services, and utilities.
- Assist in RFP preparation and vendor selection for energy, equipment, and project services.
- Track and report on energy usage, costs, and supplier performance .
- Manage the administration of vendor contracts , including invoices, deliveries, and returns.
- Support the qualification and onboarding of energy providers and critical infrastructure suppliers .
- Work closely with internal teams (construction, operations, finance) to ensure procurement aligns with project timelines.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and provide regular cost and usage reports .
- Resolve discrepancies with vendors, including invoices and order fulfilment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not essential).
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or vendor coordination , ideally in energy, utilities, or infrastructure.
- Experience working with energy/power providers and managing related contracts is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask across projects and maintain accuracy under deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office/Excel ; familiarity with Oracle NetSuite or similar ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional EMEA languages a plus.
- Collaborative and proactive mindset, comfortable liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
