Process Integration Engineer
Location: Bergamo, Italy
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced Process Integration Engineer to lead the transition of R&D-developed semiconductor and photonics processes into a fully integrated 200 mm pilot line. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in build-from-scratch environments and can bridge R&D, equipment vendors, and fab operations to deliver a robust, manufacturable process low ready for first silicon and future scale-up.
What will you be doing?
- Translate R&D process modules into complete, end-to-end 200 mm pilot-line process lows
- Define and integrate FEOL and BEOL steps across lithography, deposition, etch, and backend
modules
- Specify, select, and qualify pilot-line equipment, supporting configuration, FAT, and
installation readiness
- Develop and maintain process low diagrams, integration schemes, and control
documentation
- Identify integration risks and drive corrective actions during pilot runs and early learning
cycles
- Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, facilities, EHS, and equipment vendors
- Prepare the pilot line for first silicon, process transfer, and manufacturability assessments
- Support future technology scale-up toward volume production
What we need to see?
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in semiconductor process integration or advanced process
engineering
- Strong hands-on understanding of end-to-end FEOL and BEOL process lows
- Practical experience with a broad range of process technologies, including:
o E-beam lithography and steppers
o Dry and wet etch (RIE, cleans, ashing)
o Thin-film deposition (PECVD, ALD, CVD, PVD)
o CMP, ECD Cu, wafer bonding, and singulation
- Experience working with 200 mm tools or pilot-scale fab environments
- Proven ability to translate experimental R&D processes into repeatable pilot-line
manufacturing
- Strong documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field
- Right to work in the EU
