Process Engineering Manager

We are looking for a Process Engineering Manager to lead the development and optimisation of manufacturing processes for Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) . Based in Pisa, you will oversee the entire process lifecycle, from R&D to production, and lead a team to improve efficiency, yield, and quality in PIC fabrication.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage and optimise processes for PIC manufacturing, including cleanroom operations.
2. Work closely with design and testing teams to ensure smooth process integration.
3. Drive continuous improvement in process efficiency and cost reduction.
4. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of process engineers.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Photonics, Optical Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in process engineering for photonics or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of photonic fabrication techniques (etching, deposition, lithography).
• Leadership experience with a focus on process optimization.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
