Position: Process Engineer – Oil & Gas (Milan)


Role Description

For an important opportunity in Milan, we are looking for a Process Engineer with experience in the Oil & Gas sector, preferably gained in structured and international environments.

The candidate will join the process engineering team and will be involved in the development, analysis, and optimization of complex processes related to industrial plants.


Main Responsibilities

  • Design and development of process flow diagrams (PFD, P&ID).
  • Sizing and specification of process equipment (heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, columns, etc.).
  • Execution of process calculations, and mass and energy balances.
  • Technical support in the selection of materials and technologies.
  • Interface with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, piping, HSE).
  • Technical assistance during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Verification of compliance with regulations, international standards, and industry best practices.


Requirements

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering.
  • Solid experience in the Oil & Gas sector, ideally with EPC contractors or international engineering firms.
  • Excellent knowledge of process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, PRO/II).
  • Knowledge of international standards and codes (API, ASME, ISO).
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Team-oriented attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
