Position Overview
On behalf of a leading industrial manufacturing company, we are looking for a Process Engineer to join the Industrial & Maintenance Department . The role will be pivotal in developing, optimizing, and standardizing manufacturing processes, working in close collaboration with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, Quality, and Production Planning teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Engineering & Maintenance Department in developing and strengthening the process engineering function within the plant.
- Support and/or lead projects aimed at improving the technology of existing manufacturing processes across different production areas.
- Collaborate in modifying or designing new layouts for manufacturing lines or work cells to improve process flow and safety conditions.
- Maintain and regularly update layouts for all production departments.
- After appropriate training, collaborate to ensure manufacturing feasibility of products throughout all production phases.
- Support the Technology area in defining design parameters influenced by manufacturing processes.
- Work closely with Quality and Production to define key technical parameters for manufacturing processes, including: Wire drawing - Stranding - Fiber component production - Extrusion.
- Monitor process performance to ensure technical parameters are consistently tested, validated, and updated.
- Develop technical documentation and keep technical databases up to date, ensuring Production is always aligned with the latest process definitions.
- Support Production Planning in selecting product routings, checking constraints related to machines, spools, tools, lubrication systems, and lifting devices.
- Design reels and other tools or equipment required for new orders when necessary.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Materials Engineering, or similar).
- Previous experience, including early-career roles, in Process Engineering or Production Engineering within structured industrial environments.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement principles.
- Ability to work in a project-driven, cross-functional team environment.
- Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and attention to safety.
- Excellent knowledge of the Italian language
- Excellent knowledge of the English language
