Process Development Engineer

As part of our Industrial Corporate team , you will play a key role in bridging innovation and operations. You’ll lead industrial trials, validate raw materials, and support the integration of new technologies into our production sites, especially focusing on recycled polyamide feedstock processing in Arco plant.

Your mission:

• Lead the industrialization of innovation projects, product enhancements, and process optimizations.
• Validate recycled polyamide feedstocks and optimize their processability to ensure the quality and competitiveness of our sustainable range of polyamide compounds produced in Arco.
• Define and execute scale-up protocols and ensure smooth plant handovers .
• Plan and coordinate industrial trials in collaboration with plant engineers and the Application Center.
• Analyze trial results, document findings, and propose actionable improvements.
• Support production troubleshooting and product claim resolution as a technical expert, alongside plant engineers who lead the resolution effort.
• Drive Operational Excellence (OPEX) initiatives and identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead cross-functional industrial projects involving new technologies or process innovations.
• Share process and technology expertise across the industrial community through networking and training.

What you bring:

• A degree in chemical process engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in process engineering within polymer, compounding, or powder transformation industries.
• Strong technical expertise in compounding and powder transformation technologies.
• Experience in industrial trial design, troubleshooting, and statistical analysis .
• Familiarity with scale-up methodologies, validation protocols, and OPEX frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma).
• Proficiency in process simulation tools, data analysis (Excel, Minitab), and ERP/MES systems.
• Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong communication abilities to align stakeholders and share technical insights effectively.
• A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work autonomously while engaging with diverse teams.
• Adaptability and resilience in navigating production constraints and coordinating across functions.
• Fluent in English and Italian.
