A leading European investment platform is seeking a high‑caliber Associate to join its Italy team in Milan. The firm invests across mid‑market private equity opportunities and partners closely with founders and management teams to drive long‑term value creation.
This role offers significant responsibility, direct exposure to decision‑makers, and the opportunity to work across the full investment lifecycle in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate new investment opportunities through financial modeling, valuation, and commercial analysis
- Lead due diligence workstreams alongside advisors and management teams
- Prepare investment materials and present findings to senior stakeholders
- Support transaction execution including structuring, negotiations, and financing
- Monitor portfolio companies and contribute to strategic and operational initiatives
- Conduct sector research and proactively source new opportunities
Profile
- 2‑3 years of experience in Investment Banking (M&A or Leveraged Finance preferred) or top‑tier advisory
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
- Solid transaction experience with full deal exposure
- Excellent communication skills in Italian and English
- Entrepreneurial mindset, strong work ethic, and ability to operate in small, high‑impact teams
- Genuine interest in private equity investing and value creation
