Experteer Overview In this role you guide complex project engineering initiatives to solutions that align with contract requirements and business goals. You will lead functional teams or projects as a specialist, working independently with minimal guidance. The position supports energy‑sector projects—from subsea to onshore infrastructure—and contributes to the company’s mission of safe, sustainable energy delivery. You will shape execution plans, coordinate with multiple offices and stakeholders, and drive innovative outcomes in challenging environments.
Responsibilities
Manage the engineering scope of a project Establish and implement project procedures to meet quality and technical content requirements Oversee technical execution aligned with business considerations Potentially lead a Unit/Area or Project Engineering Manager role depending on project size Support proposal preparation for prospective projects Promote safety in designs and work processes Coordinate with Engineering and Design Leads on the project Develop and implement the Project Execution Plan and MOPEX where appropriate Create and maintain DOR matrix, Project Coordination Procedure Communicate project requirements to the team and guide Project Engineers Ensure cross-discipline communication, document decisions, and manage meetings Prepare and approve technical queries, design deviations, RFIs, and management reports Control cost, schedule, quantity, and budget; manage changes Maintain project engineering documents and staffing plans Coordinate third‑party interfaces and handover/closeout activities Involve lessons learned and input to company processes Qualifications
5–10 years of Project Engineering experience 2–4 years of experience as Project Engineering Manager on a project Experience in international projects and multi‑office MOPEX execution Experience in Joint Venture or Consortium environments Experience developing proposals and contractual documentation Experience with brownfield and greenfield projects Broad technical knowledge of detailed design engineering codes and standards Familiar with detailed engineering/design procedures Ability to read and understand contractual documentation Effective communication with stakeholders Problem solving with broad perspective and innovative solutions Ability to lead and mentor others Registered Engineer in Training (ElT) or professional engineering society membership preferred
