As a Principal Engineer in Cisco’s Global Technology Standards (GTS), you will shape industry‑wide standards strategies and advance Cisco’s technology vision. You collaborate with business leaders to align standards efforts with strategic objectives and engage across multiple Standards Development Organizations. You’ll help lead external standards and open‑source initiatives, and represent Cisco at key industry meetings. You’ll mentor engineers, streamline governance and IPR processes, and contribute to Cisco’s technology and patent portfolio. This role offers high‑impact work at the intersection of technology, strategy, and ecosystem collaboration.

Responsabilità

• 5+ years in engineering, technology strategy, architecture, research, or standards‑related roles
• 10+ years of industry experience
• Deep knowledge of AI, IP networking and security across multiple Cisco business areas
• Strong network of industry collaborators and ability to engage with external organizations
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with remote teams
