L3Harris Technologies’ Communications Systems (CS) sector seeks a highly motivated Business Development professional with significant experience in designing and pursuing tactical and strategic ISR and Link 16 opportunities, specifically in Western Europe. The role involves developing and executing strategies for L3Harris Broadband Communication Systems (BCS), including Common Datalink (CDL) and Tactical Datalink (Link 16), focusing on Border & Maritime Security, C4ISR, and CJADC2.
Essential Functions :
- Identify, plan, and execute campaign strategies to create a permissive environment for capturing NATO and Western European opportunities.
- Ensure regional commitments to the BCS Sector are met.
- Monitor market trends—customer needs, budget allocations, market size, and competition—to develop growth strategies.
- Develop and advise on short- and long-term objectives aligned with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with regional sales teams to prospect and develop BCS opportunities.
- Lead pursuit teams on key opportunities.
- Support regional sales with go-to-market strategies, including local partnerships and teaming agreements.
- Adhere to the Common Capture Management Process, including hosting meetings and tracking pursuits.
- Coordinate BD activities such as tradeshows, demonstrations, and customer visits.
- Serve as BCS SME to pitch solutions to customers.
- Provide market feedback for product improvements.
- Develop localization strategies and perform market analyses.
- Disseminate BD goals and maintain international contacts.
- Travel frequently to support customer engagements.
Qualifications :
- Mastery-level knowledge in technical areas; considered an expert by peers. Bachelor’s Degree with 12+ years of experience, or Graduate Degree with 10+ years, or 16+ years of experience without a degree.
- Deep understanding of international defense & security requirements and acquisition processes.
- Knowledge of maritime requirements, both manned and unmanned.
- Familiarity with current military hardware, software open architecture initiatives, and industry trends.

- Proven ability to develop and enhance customer relationships.
- Effective communication of technical and executive concepts.
- Excellent presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in a European second language.
- Strong communication, negotiation, collaboration, and leadership skills.
