Overview
Principal Business Development, Media & Entertainment, Games and Sports — AWS MEGS, based in KSA. You will own adoption, utilization, and line of business revenue for AWS MEGS customers, engage with customer requirements, and collaborate with AWS product teams to innovate and deliver AWS and AWS Partner offerings. You will shape account plans and sales plays for new and existing customers and partners, participate in field enablement, and help identify gaps in AWS products based on customer insights to win strategic workloads and drive revenue. You will contribute to strategy development for MEGS within the MENAT region.
The AWS Industries team focuses on helping industry customers enable digital transformation journeys by meeting customers in their cloud journey and working backwards from industry-specific needs to transform their businesses and industries. Our team emphasizes business outcomes and industry use cases in product development, selling, delivery, and partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Establish strategic, technical, and business relationships with customers and partners within the region to drive cloud and service adoption.
- Educate and evangelise the MEGS ecosystem in key markets on technical matters and how companies can grow by leveraging AWS services and programmes.
- Serve as a key member of the MEGS global team and contribute to the overall AWS market and technical strategy.
- Prepare and deliver data-driven business reviews to senior management about progress, achievements, and roadblocks in the region.
- Partner with regional Sales Leaders for strategic planning, and with MEGS Account Managers for account planning.
- Execute strategic initiatives for MEGS, collaborating with key internal stakeholders globally.
- Moderate travel will be required.
A day in the life
You will drive AWS adoption and revenue growth in the MEGS vertical by collaborating with field marketing, account teams, solutions architects and partners. You will engage with key industry stakeholders, help customers onboard to AWS, develop market intelligence, accelerate workload migrations, and support enterprise business transformation. The role involves frequent customer interaction and regular performance reporting.

We are a global team of games industry specialists, supporting leading accounts worldwide. Team members are geographically dispersed across North America, EMEA, and Asia Pacific / Japan. We collaborate closely and are global and interconnected in nature.
The team’s goals are to support AWS account teams in achieving revenue growth targets for accounts grouped by geos and regions. We provide industry expertise for overall account planning and development, AWS Partner Network (APN) partner identification, and proactive engagement for line-of-business opportunity creation through to launch and revenue. Output goals per geo are based on year-on-year revenue growth.

Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- 10+ years of experience in the Media & Entertainment, Games and Sports Industry
- Additional candidates should possess the ability to interact with senior leadership and technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations
- Ability to complete business conversations in Arabic
