What: We are seeking a highly motivated junior researcher (pre-doctoral level) to join our Genomic Medicine Program. The candidate will learn how to apply state-of-the-art AI-based algorithms and biophysical simulations to guide the design of enhanced enzymes used as a therapy for lysosomal storage disorders.

Salary: The salary will be discussed privately with the applicants based on their previous experience.

• Master’s degree in physics, chemistry, biology, biomedical engineering, computer science or a related field.
• Candidates must be highly motivated and ready to work in a highly collaborative environment.
• Experienced with Python programming language and Linux-based operating systems.
• Familiar with machine learning/deep learning techniques.
• Familiar with or interested in learning about protein structure modelling and biomolecular simulations.
• Good skills in English communication.

Desirable (but not essential)

• Previous experience with AI-based protein modelling algorithms (e.g., AlphaFold2, RoseTTAFold, etc.)
• Familiar with molecular dynamics techniques
