Be you with us

We believe in a new way of travelling, where all people feel welcome, connected and inspired to live more consciously, without sacrificing style or a great time together. We want to redefine hospitality and encourage conscious travel where sustainable choices are prioritized by offering fun, inclusive and mindful hotel experiences.

Moments from the station and steps from Florence’s most iconic streets, you will find The Usual Florence. A hotel under construction with a focus of design and sustainability, that will offer 80 guest rooms, a lively new concept of wine bar with small Tuscan dishes, a library and amenities including fitness, art space and a lush inner courtyard.

The role

This is a one of a kind position where you will be in charge of opening The Usual Florence. Together with our office colleagues, you will build your team and position The Usual as the new sustainable, lifestyle hotel and F&B hotspot. You will put processes in place and set standards without losing the unique character of a lifestyle brand. Under your empowering leadership, The Usual Florence will become a great place to work, a place where local communities connect and travellers from all over the world come together. We believe in leading by example, where the ideas of team members are valued and inclusion is the standard.

After opening, you will oversee the daily hotel operations, restaurant and wine bar. Tasks and responsibilities, among other things, include:

  • Lead the successful pre-opening and opening of The Usual Florence, ensuring a seamless launch across operations, team and guest experience;
  • Drive best-in-class guest experience and service excellence, positioning the hotel among the leading hospitality destinations in Florence;
  • Own and drive the overall financial performance of the hotel, with full accountability for Revenue, GOP, EBITDA, ADR and RevPAR;
  • Build, inspire and lead a high-performing team culture, focused on ownership, energy and exceptional guest service;
  • Establish and optimise operational structures, processes and standards, balancing efficiency with a strong lifestyle and F&B-driven guest experience;

  • Strong focus on service excellence, with the ability to translate brand vision into an exceptional guest experience
  • Commercially driven, with a clear understanding of how to balance guest experience with financial performance
