About the Role
The Sales and Origination Manager drives Sonnedix’s commercial activities by developing and originating energy sales opportunities with industrial clients, utilities, retailers, and other market participants. The role focuses on sourcing and structuring short‑ and long‑term supply agreements, including PPAs, evaluating commercial opportunities, and identifying new off‑takers across the national market. It requires strong knowledge of local power markets to assess opportunities from both a commercial and financial perspective, contributing to the delivery of Sonnedix’s revenue objectives.
Acting as one of Sonnedix’s market‑facing representatives, the Manager builds and manages client relationships, participates in key industry events, and promotes the company’s energy solutions. The position collaborates closely with internal teams—energy management, development, finance, legal and asset management—to ensure that commercial strategies are executed effectively and that off‑take agreements generate long‑term value for the portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Source, structure, and negotiate short‑ and long‑term supply agreements, including PPAs for development projects and operating portfolios.
- Evaluate commercial opportunities and identify new off‑takers across the market.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with industrial customers and utilities.
- Collaborate with internal teams—energy management, development, finance, legal, and asset management—to execute commercial strategies.
- Use market and regulatory data, collaborate with digital teams, and leverage digital tools (CRM, analytics platforms) to streamline origination processes.
- Represent Sonnedix at key industry events and promote the company’s energy solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of local power markets and energy contracting structures.
- Proven experience in energy origination or sales, with a track record of closing complex commercial agreements.
- Ability to build and manage client relationships across the C&I and utility sectors.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience working with market and regulatory data and using digital tools to streamline processes.
