The Powertrain Testing Manager will lead the Foggia R&D testing facility, overseeing
6 engine test cells
and a team of
14 engineers and technicians . Reporting directly to the
Powertrain Benches and Prototype Worldwide Responsible , the role is responsible for site operations, testing execution, people development, budget management, safety, quality, and business performance, ensuring compliance with global standards and supporting the product development roadmap.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES Full responsibility for site operations, team leadership, budget (OPEX/CAPEX), KPIs, and testing activities in accordance with WW guidelines. Govern the site test plan (development, durability, reliability, emissions/homologation) and balance testing demand against available capacity. Ensure test readiness, resource allocation, instrumentation, automation, and proper execution of all testing activities. Lead, develop, and coach engineers and technicians, including hiring, performance management, succession planning, and skills development. Manage equipment, maintenance, procurement, suppliers, contractors, and investment plans for test benches and laboratory infrastructure. Coordinate with Engineering, Automation, and IT teams to ensure effective testing, data reporting, and operational support. Maintain full accountability for laboratory safety, EHS compliance, risk mitigation, SOPs, and incident investigations. Ensure high standards of quality, data integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. Full-time on-site presence required.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in powertrain testing, laboratory management, or test engineering environments. Proven experience leading technical teams in laboratory or testing operations. Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines, powertrain systems, emissions regulations, and validation processes. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills within complex, global, and cross-functional organizations. Results-oriented mindset, strong ownership, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure.
SALARY RANGE Contratto Collettivo Specifico di Lavoro per Iveco Group 1° Gruppo Professionale Salary Range :
50.000-55.000€ Variable payment as per CCSL
