PLC Software Engineer / Automation Engineer (m/f/d)
Koenig Group Verona - EUR 40,000 - 60,000
To strengthen our Automation team at our Verona site, we are looking for a motivated and innovation‑driven technical professional.
Your responsibilities
- development of PLC software, HMI interfaces , and drive systems for automated industrial plants;
- testing, commissioning, and start‑up of equipment both at our headquarters and directly at customer sites worldwide;
- troubleshooting, optimization, and maintenance of existing PLC software ;
- technical support for the Service Team and collaboration with Engineering and Customer Support departments;
- contributing to the continuous improvement of our automation systems and processes through acquired know‑how;
- participation in the preparation of technical documentation and plant manuals.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a professional passionate about industrial automation, with a hands‑on mindset and strong team‑oriented attitude.
Requirements
- technical education in electrical engineering, automation, or mechatronics (technical institute, vocational academy, bachelor’s/master’s degree, or equivalent);
- experience in PLC and HMI development, preferably using Siemens TIA Portal;
- knowledge of additional automation platforms such as Rockwell Automation is considered a plus;
- good command of English, both written and spoken;
- willingness to travel periodically, mainly internationally (approximately 30% of the time);
- strong problem‑solving skills, operational autonomy, and attention to detail;
- customer‑oriented mindset and excellent collaboration skills;
- valid category B driving license.
