Dana is a global leader in advanced driveline, sealing, and thermal‑management technologies. We supply OEMs and aftermarket customers across passenger vehicle, commercial truck, and off‑highway equipment markets through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Plant Quality Manager in Montano Lucino (CO). The candidate will lead quality department activities, manage the quality management system, implement continuous improvement projects, ensure customer satisfaction, and mentor the quality team. This role reports directly to the plant manager, functions with the Grand Arco Quality Coordinator, and is a member of the plant leadership team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead all relevant quality and cross‑functional activities, focusing on process gaps that may lead to customer claims and disruptions.
  • Monitor and drive plant quality activities, external and internal customers and suppliers (DOA – Defect on Arrival), customer relationships, proactive continuous improvement activities, technical problem‑solving leadership and activities (8D reports or similar formats), corrective action activities, and plant support activities.
  • Support Product Service Support team to contain, investigate and apply corrective actions for customer field issues (DOF – Defect on Field).
  • Represent the Voice of the Customer by cross‑functional coordinating plant departments (production, manufacturing, purchasing, sales & logistics) to ensure ultimate customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain and improve plant quality management systems consistent with customer (CSR) and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Track, maintain and report relevant quality KPI’s (External PPM report, Quality Issues, Customer Scorecard, Scrap, etc.).
  • Participate and support continuous improvement activities and projects (DOS, Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma, Red X, Black Belt, and ITS programs).
  • Be part of the Advanced Product Quality Planning process to ensure safe launch of new projects, including PPAP activities.
  • Maintain and improve the implementation of automotive core tools.

Job Position Requirements

Education

University bachelor degree – Bachelor Degree in Engineering.

Professional Background

  • 5 years of experience in a quality manufacturing environment.
  • Tier 1 automotive component supplier manufacturing experience preferred.

Hard Skills – Essential

  • Strong knowledge in AIAG core tools: FMEA / PPAP / APQP / MSA / SPC.
  • Detailed knowledge of ISO 9001.
  • Knowledge of problem‑solving tools & methods (8D reports, 5 Why, …).
  • Proficient in GD&T.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
  • Thorough understanding of process engineering principles.
  • Product launch experience.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office, ERP (SAP preferred), PLM & CompliantPro.
  • High proficiency in understanding math data, interpretation and part measurement.
  • Effective communication and high proficiency in reporting.
  • Available to travel as required (~ 10 %).
  • English proficiency required (B2/C1, written and spoken both).

  • IATF 16949 knowledge.
