Job Role Description

The Plant Finance Manager will be the main financial reference point for the manufacturing site, with direct responsibility for the administrative, accounting, and management control functions. The role will ensure the accurate preparation of the financial statements, manage relationships with banks and auditors, and act as a liaison with the Corporate Finance Department for periodic reporting and the supervision of the plant’s financial performance. The position will also lead a team of three finance professionals reporting directly to him/her.


Key Responsibilities

Finance & Administration

• Supervise the general and analytical accounting of the plant, ensuring compliance with national accounting and tax regulations.

• Coordinate the preparation of the statutory financial statements and monthly management reports, ensuring alignment with Group accounting principles (IFRS).

• Manage local treasury activities, monitoring cash flows, financial needs, and relationships with banking institutions.

• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and the board of statutory auditors, ensuring the formal and substantive accuracy of all accounting documentation.

• Handle potential tax audits or inspections in cooperation with management and external advisors.

• Support the Plant Manager in evaluating investments, production costs, and initiatives aimed at improving profitability.

Controlling & Reporting

• Prepare and update budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses in coordination with the corporate headquarters.

• Produce periodic reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) on P&L, balance sheet, and industrial KPIs.

• Support cost accounting by analyzing costs, margins, and profitability by product or project.

• Manage intercompany reconciliations, recharges, and compliance with Group transfer pricing policies.

• Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial data to the Corporate Finance Department.


Requirements

• Degree in Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.

• 5–7 years of experience in similar roles (Finance Manager, Plant Controller, or equivalent), preferably within structured industrial environments.

• Strong knowledge of national accounting principles and IFRS.

• Proven experience in preparing financial statements, managing audits, and handling tax compliance.

• Excellent command of Microsoft Office (especially Excel); familiarity with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics Navision is an advantage.

• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

• Strong analytical skills, reliability, autonomy, and a results-oriented mindset.
