Our client is a well-established and structured company in the pharmaceutical sector based in the Veneto region , part of an international group and a recognized leader in the development and production of active ingredients and finished pharmaceutical products.
To support a strategic growth plan and strengthen site-level leadership, we are currently seeking a Plant Director with proven experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and strong leadership capabilities.
The environment is regulated, technical, and continuously evolving , with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and quality. The role offers a high level of autonomy and visibility within a group that views this site as a key asset.
Key Responsibilities
Full responsibility for the management of the production site, overseeing Operations, Quality, Maintenance, HSE, Logistics, and Engineering
Leadership of cross-functional teams across multiple operational areas
Monitoring and improvement of key industrial KPIs (efficiency, costs, safety, quality, scrap, OEE, etc.)
Oversight of GMP compliance and management of inspections and audits
Budget ownership and investment planning
Acting as primary liaison with global and corporate functions to ensure alignment on strategy, reporting, and operational standards
Driving a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance
Required Qualifications
Education and Experience
University degree in a scientific or technical discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy)
Extensive experience (10+ years) in pharmaceutical operations, preferably in plant leadership roles
Solid background in GMP environments and proven track record managing production facilities
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of GMP guidelines and pharmaceutical manufacturing best practices
Familiarity with processes related to APIs or finished dosage forms (oral solids, liquids, steriles, etc.)
Understanding of quality systems, maintenance, safety, and industrial supply chain principles
Proficiency with ERP / MES systems and performance monitoring tools
Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Results-driven with a continuous improvement mindset
Excellent interpersonal and change management skills
High level of autonomy and sound decision-making
Willingness to travel occasionally within Italy and abroad
