Location: Milan

Italian knowledge is mandatory

EDUCATION

  • University Degree in technical field

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS and CERTIFICATIONS

  • Good knowledge (spoken and written) of foreign languages (preferable English, French or Spanish), including technical dictionary will be a plus.
  • Must be experienced in the use of Primavera Project Planner.
  • Must be familiar with planning and scheduling of activities for all aspects of EPCC of major oil / gas plants.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret contract terms, conditions and specifications, knowledge of quality control and assurance functions, methods of progress measurements and verification.

WORK EXPERIENCE – YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

  • At least more than 10 year experience in the offshore/onshore Oil & Gas or power generation industries EPC contracts in the field of pressure retaining components, piping, pipelines, valves, rotating equipment, steel structures etc.

WORK EXPERIENCE – DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Project Planner is responsible for:

  • Deciding on the most appropriate engineering techniques and sequences of activities for each project stage.
  • Drawing plans using specialised design software packages.
  • Ensuring plans meet the Customer’s specifications.
  • Making estimations for timescales and costs.
  • Supervising the project at all stages and providing solutions to problems.
  • Collaborating with site managers, surveyors, engineers, site worker and other professionals.
  • Be accountable for the control and supervision, monitoring and guidance of the day-to-day activities of the Planning team.
  • Supervising, delivering a resourced robust baseline project schedules (team size dependent).
  • Overseeing the coordination and production of all project plans and associated documents (S curves, Histograms, tabulated man-hour / progress data).
  • Providing the Management Team with the relevant contract information.
  • Ensuring that all services and deliverables conform to Company, client and Project QA Plan, policies, requirements and standards.
  • Promoting good working relations within the Project Controls Teams and other project departments and Customer representatives.
  • Ensuring all planning work is carried out in compliance with Corporate and Project specific procedures.
