Maintenance Senior Engineering Specialist PVV

Airswift is actively recruiting for a Maintenance Senior Engineering Specialist PVV (Piping-Valve-Vessel) Engineer to work on a major strategic project, MozLNG. The position is based in Milan, Italy.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this is a 12-month renewable, residential contract.
2. DUTIES :
- Prepare maintenance strategies and plans for all PVV equipment and support systems on the LNG complex.
3. SUPPORT SYSTEMS AND SPARES MANAGEMENT
- Ensure standardization and optimization of spare parts and develop spares management strategies for PVV equipment on the LNG complex.
4. HSE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to HSE policies, confidentiality, compliance, and procedures.
- Demonstrate safety leadership, report potential incidents, and contribute to continual HSE improvement.
- Attend and apply HSE training, ensure team and vendor compliance.
- Support ISO 14001 Environment Management System and other initiatives.
5. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate with the Senior Rotating Engineer on mechanical engineering and maintenance matters, providing expert advice.
- Ensure delivery of mechanical activities per the Maintenance and Inspection Engineering (MIE) plan.
- Review technical documents of PVV equipment to identify maintenance challenges.
- Act as interface between EPC and MIE Contractor for data flow and technical guidance.
- Review and develop maintenance strategies, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Develop and review preventive and risk-based monitoring maintenance programs.
- Support inspection and RBI requirements for mechanical assets.
- Develop maintenance procedures, standards, and work methods for PVV equipment.
- Ensure PVV equipment plans are loaded into the CMIMS system and properly resourced.
- Liaise with vendors and OEMs for maintenance, modifications, spare parts, and technical issues.
- Support commissioning, including deviations, design input, and testing.
- Review and control material standardization and spare parts stock, minimizing stock value while ensuring availability.
- Develop scope of work for PVV support contracts and repair plans for vital assets, including heat exchangers.
- Prepare procedures, tools, and materials for maintenance and repairs.
6. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Strong knowledge of mechanical oil & gas/LNG equipment, maintenance, and repair methods.
- Expertise in LNG equipment operation, testing, and repair (valves, piping, supports, tanks, MCHE, heat exchangers, air coolers, fired heaters, cold boxes, loading arms).
- Familiarity with international codes and standards.
- Proficiency with maintenance SAP systems (e.g., CMMS).
- Computer literacy and application skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
7. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with solid international experience.
- At least 20 years of maintenance experience in the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry.
- Minimum 10 years in LNG producing plants (not terminals).
- Experience in Maintenance and Inspection Engineering (MIE) activities.
