Role Overview

The Piping Designer will support engineering activities related to the layout, routing, and detailing of piping systems for industrial plants. The role includes developing piping models and drawings ensuring compliance with project specifications, process requirements, and applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop 3D piping layouts and routing for industrial plant systems.
• Produce 2D piping drawings, including isometrics, layouts, and general arrangement drawings.
• Ensure compliance with piping standards, project specifications, and applicable codes.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, and structural engineering teams.
• Support clash detection and model reviews within the 3D plant model.
• Prepare and maintain piping documentation, including line lists and bill of materials.
• Implement design modifications based on engineering feedback and project changes.
• Support installation and construction teams by providing technical clarifications when needed.

Nice to Have

• Experience in metallurgical plants or heavy industrial environments.
• Knowledge of piping stress considerations and support design.
• Familiarity with 3D model coordination and clash detection tools.

Work Experience

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical field.
• Proven experience in piping design for industrial plants.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools for plant design (e.g., Inventor, AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of piping components, valves, fittings, and supports.
• Familiarity with piping standards and codes.
• Ability to work within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Good command of English.
