We are seeking an experienced and motivated Photovoltaic Surveyor to join our EPC team in Italy. As a Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting on-site land and topographic surveys for photovoltaic power plants (ground-mounted and/or rooftop). Your work will support layout design, engineering optimization, permitting, and successful project execution. This role is crucial to ensuring the technical accuracy and constructability of our solar projects across Italy.


Responsibilities


Perform site surveys for solar PV projects, using GPS, total stations, laser scanners, drones, or other surveying equipment


Provide topographical, boundary, and terrain elevation data to the design and engineering team


Interpret site conditions and prepare accurate technical drawings, site plans, and elevation profiles


Assist in determining optimal locations for PV modules, inverters, transformers, and cable routes


Create and update CAD-based drawings and GIS mapping layers


Support permitting processes by preparing cadastral documentation and zoning layouts


Collaborate with project engineers and site managers during the construction phase for on-site layout verification and setting-out


Maintain well-organized survey data and technical documentation for each project


Conduct quality control checks to ensure alignment between design and real-world implementation


Requirements


Technical diploma or degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field


Minimum 1 year of field experience in surveying, preferably in photovoltaic or infrastructure projects


Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, QGIS, or equivalent mapping/design tools


Skilled in using surveying instruments such as total stations, GNSS/GPS systems, and laser levels


Strong understanding of topography, site grading, coordinate systems, and civil works terminology


Basic knowledge of PV plant layouts, structures, or electrical routing is a plus


Experience with drone-based mapping or point cloud generation is desirable


Good organizational and reporting skills, including documentation management


Valid Italian driver’s license; willing to travel and work at construction sites across Italy


English proficiency (required), Italian language (preferred)
