Profile Description

We are seeking a highly motivated, ambitious and enthusiastic candidate with a master degree in biology, biotechnology, biomedical engineer, pharmacy, biochemistry, chemistry, or a related degree, for a PhD program.

The candidate will join a dynamic and interdisciplinary research group investigating new metabolic anticancer approaches with the ultimate goal of transferring their discoveries from the Lab to the clinic.

Language

Proficiency in English for speaking and writing;

Required skills

Candidates should have a strong interest for preclinical research with a particular focus on in vivo experiments, in the field of cancer research and translational medicine.

Additional requirements include:

• Basic knowledge of cancer biology and biochemistry
• Knowledge of standard in vitro protocols on murine and human cancer cell lines.
• Experience with in vivo murine cancer models is considered a plus.
• Proactive attitude, ability to learn independently, driven by curiosity for standard/new approaches finalized to the task.
• Ability to work in the team and desire to collaborate with other researchers, including wet lab researchers and bioinformaticians in the group and in the institute.
