No Offer Description Compressed sensing 3D OCT Angiography We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join an interdisciplinary research project focused on next-generation Spatio-Temporal Optical Coherence Tomography (STOCT) for ultrafast volumetric vascular and hemodynamic imaging. The project combines optical imaging, computational reconstruction with compressed-sensing schemes and artificial intelligence to develop advanced methods for artifact‑free hemodynamic angiography with applications primarily in ophthalmology, but also in neuroscience and cancer research. Interest in optical imaging and interferometry. Prior knowledge will be a plus Interest in computational methods, image processing and machine/deep learning. Prior knowledge will be a plus Motivation for interdisciplinary and translational biomedical research Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an international environment

The candidate will be directly supervised and report to Prof Andrea Curatolo and will become an integral part of the OCT-ITA (Optical Coherence Tomography and Interferometric Techniques Alike) Research group and laboratory at Politecnico di Milano university Admin support by the Department of Physics Tech Europe Foundation (TEF) mentorship to bring ideas from lab to industry 3-month secondment at an international academic partner institute at 1.5x the monthly net salary

Development of advanced OCT acquisition and reconstruction methods Signal processing and compressed sensing approaches for dynamic imaging AI- and deep-learning-based image enhancement and artifact suppression Experimental validation using phantoms and in vivo imaging studies Collaboration with national and international academic and clinical partners
