Role Purpose

Pharmacy Account Specialist is responsible for the comprehensive management of the Pharmacy (including chains and pharmacy groups) and its related stakeholders, defining and managing within the assigned territory the overall corporate strategy for each client by leveraging positioning tools such as commercial negotiation, marketing campaigns, training for pharmacists, and initiatives promoting generic medicine penetration in Italy.

The role also involves structured collection of market dynamics, competitor strategies, and collaboration with corporate functions to generate improvement ideas and proposals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a territory manager in assigned areas, identifying target customers and prioritizing them based on shared segmentation.
  • Define and achieve sales, efficiency, and performance objectives for each pharmacy, respecting timelines and plans.
  • Choose initiatives within the budget that best support client needs.
  • Define and manage negotiation strategies to maximize economic objectives.
  • Design and implement client management strategies, planning marketing campaigns, presentations, training modules, and other supportive elements.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through relationship building.
  • Meet contact, coverage, and frequency objectives, optimizing communication channels.
  • Deliver timely data, reports, and analyses to enable continuous adaptation.
  • Support digital initiatives and collect consents.
  • Represent Sandoz ethics and values, managing interactions in compliance with company policies.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in Sales Representative or similar roles in the generics industry.
  • Robust knowledge of the company portfolio.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical skills and a selling mindset.
  • Results‑orientation and determination to exceed expectations.
  • Business acumen and awareness of the competitive arena.
  • Proven listening and communication skills.
  • Problem‑solving within compliance and regulatory boundaries and adherence to SOPs.
  • Fluency in Italian and English.
