Performance Engineer Crash

Iveco performance and virtual validation department is looking for a performance engineer with a deep knowledge of vehicle crashworthiness and a proved skill in passive safety.
Essential responsibilities
-Support the coherence of development of the Vehicle Programs vs. passive safety requirements
-Generates feasible vehicle design recommendations in synergy with the engineering functions, program teams, suppliers, manufacturing, vehicle architecture team, etc
-Analysis of crash test dataset to identify trends and patterns that can be used to enhance the vehicle crashworthiness
-Support the creation of integrated virtual and physical validations plans
-Produce written reports and make verbal presentations of virtual and physical testing results
-Oversee the outsourced CAE activities
-Oversee the commissioning and set-up of vehicle of the testing prototypes
-Prior experience in crash simulation with Radioss and Abaqus is a plus
Requirements
- Work experience:

3 years as passive safety engineer
- Good knowledge and understanding of the main regulations about the passive safety of vehicles (UNECE, FMVSS, GB, etc.)
- Ability to deploy their requirements into technical solutions
- Strong understanding of passive safety systems, such as airbags, seatbelts, crumple zone, vehicle structures (body and chassis)
- Fundamentals of operation of passenger restraint systems and testing procedures for their calibration and tuning
- Knowledge of the architecture of body on frame vehicles and their characteristics
- Knowledge of the most common materials used in automotive structures
- Nice to have:
knowledge of the special requirements of EEV
