Role

Fondazione Chips-IT is seeking a Payroll & Accounting Specialist belonging to the protected category (Art. 1 L. 68/99), who will act as an operational reference for all payroll, contributions, and personnel accounting activities across the organization.

In this role, you will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing and reporting, contributing to the smooth management of personnel-related financial flows and supporting HR and Finance teams in alignment with national and sector regulations (CCNL Metalmeccanici).

This position is based in Pavia , with responsibility for all other Fondazione Chips-IT.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll (salaries, wages, contributions) ensuring compliance with Italian statutory requirements, collective agreements, and internal policies.
  • Manage tax and social security obligations, including F24 and UNIEMENS submissions.
  • Record payroll accounting entries, reconcile labor costs with the general ledger, and support monthly/yearly accounting closures.
  • Prepare payroll and HR reports (headcount, labor cost, time and attendance data – e.g., vacation, days off, and working time – workforce metrics) and support the continuous improvement of payroll processes and procedures.


Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in payroll processing and personnel accounting in an Italian regulatory environment.
  • Solid knowledge of tax and social security obligations (F24, UNIEMENS) and compliance with Italian labor regulations.
  • Familiarity with payroll and accounting software (e.g., Zucchetti or similar platforms).
  • Good knowledge of CCNL Metalmeccanici and its application in payroll management.
  • Experience supporting monthly and annual accounting closures and HR reporting .
  • Belonging to categoria protetta (Law 68/99 – Art. 1/ex Art. 3, civil disability) and authorization to work in Italy.

Technical / Hard Skills

  • Proficiency in payroll and accounting software, preferably Zucchetti (Infinity payroll module) or similar platforms.
  • Solid capability in labor cost reconciliation, payroll accounting entries, and general ledger integration.
  • Familiarity with HRIS, time and attendance systems, and payroll reporting tools.
  • Good understanding of Italian payroll operational workflows and compliance processes.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll and financial data management.
  • High level of confidentiality, integrity, and data privacy awareness in handling sensitive employee information.
