The Company and Role:
We’re partnered with an innovative, research-driven pharmaceutical and healthcare group that’s making a real impact in the Life Sciences space.
We are looking for a Patent Attorney with a Life Sciences background to join their growing IP team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone earlier in their career to step into a broad, hands-on role with real exposure to cutting-edge R&D and global IP strategy.
You’ll play a key role in protecting and strengthening the company’s IP portfolio, supporting both internal innovation projects and exciting in-licensing opportunities.
The Candidate:
We’re looking for someone who is curious, proactive, and ready to take the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will have:
- A Master’s degree in Life Sciences (or equivalent)
- Around 2–5 years’ PQE experience in Intellectual Property (industry or private practice)
- Fluent English and Italian
- A solid understanding of the R&D lifecycle
- An interest in the pharmaceutical/healthcare sector
- Italian Patent Attorney qualification (or working towards European qualification)
- A flexible, adaptable and collaborative mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct prior art searches and contribute to patentability assessments
- Support infringement and validity analyses
- Assist with drafting and prosecuting patent applications globally
- Monitor and analyse third-party patent activity
- Contribute to due diligence projects
- Support opposition and litigation activities
Location:
This is a flexible, international opportunity. While the role is open globally, you’ll be expected to spend regular time (typically weekly) in Parma to collaborate with the wider team.
