About The Role
JOB TITLE: Partner Operations Manager
LOCATION: Milano, hybrid
TYPE OF CONTRACT: Permanent contract
SALARY RANGE: 40-55K depending on seniority
What You’ll Do
Build scalable operations through process optimisation and automation
- Systematically map, redesign and automate partner-facing and internal workflows to eliminate bottlenecks and create a scalable operational engine.
- Identify high‑impact improvement opportunities through both analytical and qualitative insights, prioritising automation initiatives based on ROI. Build and maintain operational automations using tools such as Google Apps Script, n8n or internal low‑code tools.
- Define and monitor process KPIs and continuously iterate processes as the partner ecosystem grows.
Drive the evolution toward a unified partner platform
- Own the operational technology strategy for the partner ecosystem, supporting WeRoad’s transition toward a single unified platform that replaces fragmented tools and off‑platform processes.
- Audit the current tools and processes to identify friction points, data quality gaps and integration bottlenecks.
- Work closely with the Tech team to define and prioritise the One Platform roadmap.
- Drive the migration of key processes (e.g., contracts, vouchers, cash fund, travel diary, tips and coordinator‑as‑a‑service) based on business impact and implementation complexity.
Strengthen the partner ecosystem and operational experience
- Ensure a consistent, high‑quality operational experience for our key partners, Travel Coordinators, Travel Producers and DMCs, across all partner‑facing activities.
- Design and standardise the operating model for travel coordination, including coordinator support, transfer management and partner care across WeRoad and WeRoadX.
- Align and continuously improve WeRoadX processes in line with the WeRoad operating model, while respecting the specific needs of the WeRoadX model.
- Build and manage partner communication and community initiatives, including the Partners Newsletter, feedback loops and engagement tracking.
Lead and scale the Partner Operations team
- Lead and structure the Partner Operations team defining clear roles, responsibilities and operational priorities to maximise productivity and scalability.
- Set clear objectives, support the team’s professional development and run regular performance reviews.
- Design and evolve the staffing model for Helpdesk and Partner Managers, ensuring the right operational coverage as partner volume scales.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in Operations within fast‑growing Tech companies or Digital Scaleups. Proven track record of managing complex operational ecosystems where technology and human touch intersect.
- Partner & ecosystem management: experience managing external partner networks at scale (B2B, B2B2C or marketplace models), with a strong understanding of balancing operational standardisation with partner‑specific needs.
- Hands‑on automation & AI: Active automation using Google Apps Script, n8n or similar low‑code tools; leverage AI (LLMs, chatbots, AI‑assisted workflows) to reduce manual work, improve response quality and scale support operations without scaling headcount.
- Data‑driven mindset: Analyse complex datasets to identify bottlenecks, build dashboards to monitor operational health and prioritise team efforts based on measurable business impact.
- Cross‑functional leadership: Act as primary bridge between Partner Operations and key internal stakeholders — Tech, Finance, Sales and Customer Care — translating operational needs into product requirements and business decisions.
- Team development: Build and grow operational teams, set clear OKRs/KPIs, support individual development and maintain high performance in fast‑changing environments.
- High‑level decision making: Manage escalations and complex issues requiring rapid alignment across departments, staying calm and structured under pressure.
