Outbound Department Manager

MISSIONFor a new logistics site of an important international company operating in the Retail sector, we are looking for an Outbound Department Manager who will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, productivity, and effective management of outbound operations within the Distribution Center.Sta pensando di candidarsi? Non aspetti, scorra verso il basso e invii la sua candidatura il prima possibile per non perdere l'opportunità.MAIN ACTIVITIESReporting directly to the Operation Manager, the candidate will lead the Outbound Operations team, ensuring the achievement of performance, quality, service, and cost targets, while maintaining compliance with company standards and operational procedures. He/she will be involved in:coordinate and oversee all Outbound operations, ensuring an efficient flow of goods from the Distribution Center to stores and customers;ensure the correct execution of picking, wrapping, consolidation, and loading activities according to operational standards;collaborate closely with Transport, Replenishment, Consolidation, Wrapping, and Loading departments to optimize operational performance;monitor and improve picking flows, pallet optimization, and loading efficiency to maximize space utilization and transport productivity;ensure timely transport bookings and effective coordination of outbound shipments;plan and allocate resources across departments according to operational needs and productivity targets;monitor operational KPIs, departmental costs, and budgets, driving continuous improvement initiatives;ensure the correct storage and handling of products in compliance with company standards and procedures;promote effective two-way communication between management, Team Leaders, and operational staff;lead, motivate, and develop Team Leaders and operational staff, supporting their professional growth through training and development activities;ensure a safe, efficient, and positive work environment aligned with company values and operational excellence standards;foster collaboration and best-practice sharing across functions, departments, and Distribution Centers.SKILLSDegree or Diploma, preferably in Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.proven experience in managing warehouse operations or Distribution Centers, with a focus on outbound logistics;previous experience of at least 3-7 years in leading and developing operational teams;strong knowledge of outbound logistics processes, including picking, consolidation, loading, and transportation coordination;experience in KPI monitoring, performance analysis, and budget management;good knowledge of IT tools and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS);good command of the English language (B1/B2).The ideal candidate will also demonstrate:strong leadership skills with a focus on people development and team engagement;excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities;results-oriented mindset with a continuous improvement approach;strong communication and interpersonal skills;ability to perform effectively in fast-paced and complex operational environments;capability to prioritize, delegate, and coordinate activities across multiple operational areas.Location: province of RovigoCompensation package and employment terms will be aligned with the candidate’s experience and qualifications.Expected RAL: € 3 Only applications including an updated CV will be considered. xdwybme This vacancy is open to candidates of all genders, in accordance with applicable equal opportunity legislation.
