Job Titles: OT Security Engineer
Location: Florence, Italy (1–2 days onsite, occasional travel to Talamona – fully expensed)
Duration: 6-month contract
OT (Operational Technology) Cybersecurity Architect designs and implements secure architectures for industrial control systems (ICS) and critical infrastructure, such as SCADA systems and PLCs.
About role:
As an OT Security Engineer, your role involves creating strategies to protect against Cyber threats, developing security policies, designing networking segmentation and layered defence, ensuring compliance with standards like IEC62443, and conducting risk assessments to secure vital industrial processes.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience deploying and supporting industrial network and server infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with:
L2/L3 switch configurations and OT VLAN implementation
Firewall configuration and rule creation (Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.)
- OT VM creation, patching, and configuration in VMware and Hyper-V
- Ability to support physical deployment (rack/stack, cabling, troubleshooting)
- Familiarity with passive and active asset discovery tools, IP management, and logging systems
- Italian and English language fluency required
