Origination Manager

Leap29 are seeking an experienced Origination Manager to be based in Rome. This is a key role for someone with a strong background in sourcing & structuring solar and BESS opportunities. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and closing new co-development and land opportunities to expand the company’s Italian pipeline.

This is a great opportunity to take a lead role in shaping the future project portfolio, working closely with local co-developers, legal, and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, negotiate, and secure solar and storage co-development opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with co-developers, landowners, and consultants.
• Manage and optimise legal agreements and origination strategy.
• Evaluate potential sites and opportunities from a commercial and technical perspective.
• Collaborate with development, legal, and engineering teams to progress deals efficiently.
• Track market trends, policy updates, and regulatory changes to inform strategy.
• Represent the business at industry events and conferences when required.

Requirements:

• Fluent Italian & English speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 5+ years’ experience in origination and closing solar/BESS co-development deals in Italy.
• Relevant degree in economics, business, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong network and relationships within the Italian energy sector.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Experience across the full project development lifecycle and financial modeling is a plus.
