*6-month internship (January to June), with the possibility to extend into a full-time role.

We’re expanding our M&A team and looking for a sharp, driven, and resilient Origination Intern — M&A to support our sourcing efforts across Europe. This is a high-ownership, fast-paced role where you’ll learn how tech M&A works inside one of Europe’s most active software acquirers.

What you’ll do

• Identify, research, and prioritise software acquisition targets across Europe
• Reach out to founders and executives with high-quality, high-volume outbound
• Quickly assess whether a company should be passed to the execution team by asking the right qualifying questions
• Develop creative ways to get in front of targets — events, warm intros, LinkedIn angles, networks, and more
• Join early calls when needed and confidently pitch the Shop Circle angle
• Maintain and update our internal CRM, ensuring every interaction is tracked accurately
• Support pipeline organisation and help refine sourcing strategies with the M&A team

What we’re looking for

• Fluency in English (must)
• A second European language (must) — ideally Italian, Spanish, or French
• Strong communication skills and the ability to pitch fluently
• Understanding of key SaaS metrics and basic deal structures (ARR, churn, NDR, EBITDA, multiples, etc.)
• Ideally, previous experience in sales, business development, finance, or consulting
• A “never give up” mindset and comfort with high-volume outreach
• Fast learner, organised, detail-oriented, and resourceful
