Università di Torino is seeking a researcher to study the diversity of fungi involved in the mycorrhizal symbiosis of Mediterranean orchid species. You will use metabarcoding to analyze fungal communities and assess their specificity across orchid species.
Additionally, transcriptomic techniques will be employed to uncover molecular mechanisms underlying plant–fungus communication, identifying genes and biological processes in establishing and functioning of the symbiosis.
