Operations & Sales Team Lead – Private Aviation

Location: Milan (office-based)

Contract Freelancer / Independent Consultant: This position is structured exclusively as a freelance collaboration. Candidates must already operate as independent professionals or be fully willing to open a freelance position (Partita IVA). Due to the nature of the business, this role is not offered as an employment contract. Only candidates aligned with this structure will be considered .

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading company in Italy specialized exclusively in private jet charter, serving HNWI, family offices, and corporate clients worldwide. The business operates in a fast-paced, real-time environment, managing complex requests across multiple time zones. Demand is continuous, requiring precision, speed, and high standards of execution.


The Role

We are looking for an Operations & Sales Team Lead to oversee and drive the daily performance of the Milan office. This is a hands-on leadership role, focused on execution, team coordination, and performance management. You will be responsible for ensuring that sales, lead management, and operations run efficiently, consistently, and at high standards every day. You will work closely with management to align on KPIs, priorities, and strategic direction, while maintaining full control of daily execution.


Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate SDRs and Brokers in handling inbound leads

• Define and implement clear operational processes for client request management

• Ensure fast response times and high-quality execution

• Organize team shifts to guarantee continuous operational coverage

• Monitor team performance in real time and intervene when necessary

• Define, track, and improve operational and sales KPIs

• Build individual and team accountability systems

• Implement dashboards, reporting, and performance tracking tools

• Improve conversion rates and productivity through operational discipline

• Train, mentor, and develop team members

• Work closely with marketing to improve lead flow and quality


Profile

We are looking for a highly operational, results-driven leader who thrives in fast-paced and high-pressure environments, and is capable of building structure where it does not yet exist.

This role requires daily presence, ownership, and execution.


The ideal candidate:

• Has experience managing operational or sales teams

• Is comfortable working with KPIs, data, and performance metrics

• Can structure processes, workflows, and responsibilities

• Is hands-on, pragmatic, and execution-focused

• Can quickly identify inefficiencies and take action

• Is able to create discipline and accountability within a team

• Prefers dynamic environments over highly structured corporate settings


Relevant backgrounds include:

• Logistics & supply chain

• High-intensity operations (e.g. delivery, service platforms)

• Hospitality or travel operations

• Digital companies managing leads and sales funnels


Requirements

• Proven experience managing operational or sales teams

• Strong ability to organize workflows, shifts, and responsibilities

• Data-driven mindset with strong focus on KPIs and performance

• Experience in continuous monitoring of activities (real-time or daily)

• Strong operational leadership and people management skills

• Fluent English (additional languages are a plus)

• Availability to work on-site in Milan

• High level of commitment and reliability in high-intensity environments
