Operations Manager

Umbria Olii International S.p.A. , a long-established Italian industrial company active in the refining, processing and distribution of edible vegetable oils, is looking for a senior professional to join its production site as: Technical and Operations Manager – Vegetable Oils Refining.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the technical and operational management of the refining department, coordinating production personnel and ensuring the proper execution of industrial processes, with a strong focus on quality, yield, efficiency, safety and reduction of process losses.

We are looking for a practical, hands‑on professional with solid refinery experience, able to manage the department, train operators and intervene directly on the main process parameters.

Main responsibilities

• Operational management of the vegetable oils refining department;
• supervision of production cycles;
• control of neutralization, washing, drying, bleaching, filtration and deodorization processes;
• management of edible vegetable oils;
• monitoring of industrial yields, processing losses and consumption of industrial chemicals;
• cooperation with the analysis laboratory;
• continuous improvement of quality, efficiency and safety.

Required experience and skills

• knowledge of chemical and physical refining processes;
• ability to manage production personnel in industrial plants;
• ability to read and interpret chemical and physical process analyses;
• experience in solving real production problems;
• strong presence on the production floor;
• leadership, practical mindset and ability to train operators;
• basic knowledge of Italian will be considered an advantage, although it is not mandatory.
