Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager – Renewables

A leading international Independent Power Producer (IPP) is seeking an experienced Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager to lead the daily operations of a rapidly expanding portfolio of utility-scale solar assets across Europe.
About the Role
As O&M Manager, you’ll take ownership of the long-term performance of multiple solar PV power plants. You’ll ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations while delivering consistent value to stakeholders. This position offers the chance to shape best-in-class O&M practices and influence the future of renewable energy at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations and maintenance of utility-scale solar PV plants.
- Manage O&M contracts and a team of technicians, fostering a strong safety culture.
- Develop and implement preventative and corrective maintenance strategies.
- Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to ensure availability and yield targets are met.
- Optimise asset efficiency in collaboration with the Asset Management team.
- Oversee budgets and report on performance and cost trends.
- Conduct regular site visits to maintain hands-on understanding of site operations.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 3+ years of O&M management experience, ideally in solar energy.
- Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems (inverters, trackers, SCADA/monitoring).
- Proven leadership and team-management abilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Solid understanding of HSE regulations and compliance standards.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
