Within just two years since launch, we operate our full-management services in multiple cities and offer our Booking Manager plan nationwide. We are a young but highly experienced team that returned to Italy to implement tech-enabled best practices in this fast-growing industry.

Role Description

Homeby is looking for an ambitious and structured Operations Intern to support the management of our property portfolio in Milan.

This is an internship with the objective of full-time hiring. We are not looking for a short-term curricular internship, but for someone who is willing to grow into a long-term role within the company.

You will work closely with the City Manager and the central team to ensure the smooth onboarding of new properties and the efficient day-to-day operations of apartments already under management.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the onboarding process of new properties, including site visits, checklists, material collection, and coordination of professional photo shoots.

• Coordinating and supervising service staff and local contractors, including cleaning teams, maintenance technicians, and suppliers, to ensure apartments are properly maintained and ready for guests.

• Monitoring quality standards across managed apartments and ensuring operational standards are consistently met.

• Assisting in communication with property owners and coordinating internally with the Booking, Customer Care, and Operations teams.

• Updating internal management systems and organizing operational documentation.

• Contributing to the optimization, standardization, and structuring of scalable operational processes.

This role offers hands-on exposure to the property management and hospitality industry, combining field operations, team coordination, project management, and analytical tasks.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in real estate and hospitality, or previous experience in property management. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completed or close to completion in Business Administration, Architecture, Interior Design, Hospitality, Real Estate, Engineering, or related fields is a plus.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Practical mindset and problem-solving attitude.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously.

• Fluency in Italian and good proficiency in English. Other languages are a plus.

• Comfortable working with digital tools.

• Self-starter attitude with the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

• Driving license, Category B. Availability to move around Milan is required.

Compensation

This is an internship position with a monthly allowance aligned with market standards: €800 per month.

The internship is designed as a pathway to a full-time position, subject to performance, fit with the team, and business needs.
