Role Overview
As Operations Director HHC, you will be the engine of efficiency and operational excellence of VitalAire. You will have strategic and operational responsibility for coordinating the entire value chain from supply‑chain and logistics management to service delivery at the patient's home. The main objective is to guarantee the highest quality of service, patient safety and cost optimisation, fully in compliance with current health regulations.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement the operational strategy to support national growth.
- Monitor performance KPIs (e.g., delivery times, path efficiency, stock levels) to maintain high standards.
- Manage the Operations department budget, ensuring cost control and resource optimisation (P&L responsibility for your area).
- Supervise warehouse management, procurement and vehicle fleet.
- Optimise distribution processes to ensure therapeutic continuity for patients (delivery of oxygen, ventilators, apnea devices, etc.).
- Coordinate technical maintenance of medical devices.
- Ensure installation of devices and patient/caregiver training are conducted to the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with Sales and Medical departments to align operational offers with clinical needs and market demands.
- Ensure strict compliance with ISO regulations, occupational safety (D.Lgs 81/08) and healthcare protocols.
- Lead, motivate and develop a multidisciplinary team (logistics, customer services, Hub, Operations).
- Promote a company culture based on safety, ethics and continuous improvement (Lean Thinking).
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years in Senior Operations Management roles, preferably in Healthcare, Pharma, MedTech or complex logistics services.
- Degree in Management Engineering, Economics or scientific disciplines; an MBA or a Healthcare Management Master is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of last‑mile logistics.
- Familiarity with management systems and logistic optimisation tools.
- Knowledge of medical device regulations and quality systems.
- Strategic vision combined with a hands‑on approach.
- Excellent leadership and change‑management skills.
- Strong result orientation and resilience in dynamic environments.
- Excellent command of English (indispensable for coordination with the Air Liquide Group).
Languages
Excellent proficiency in Italian and English.
