We are seeking an Operational Technology (OT) Engineer to lead the integration of manufacturing machines into a centralized SCADA/MES environment. The role focuses on connecting shopfloor assets (manual machines and CNC controllers) to local servers and databases to enable real-time data collection, monitoring, and advanced analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate shopfloor machines (manual and CNC) with SCADA/MES systems for real-time data capture.
- Configure and maintain local server environments including VM-based SCADA and database systems.
- Implement and manage industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, and Profinet/Profibus.
- Ensure reliable data transmission from machines to MES (ABMS) and other enterprise systems.
- Lead pilot machine connectivity and support project milestones including MVP validation and system release phases.
- Conduct system testing and support user acceptance testing with production teams.
- Perform gap analysis and support scalability of the architecture for additional clusters or sites.
Requirements:
- Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Informatics, or a related field.
- Experience in Industrial IoT (IIoT), industrial automation, or shopfloor digitalization projects.
- Hands-on experience with SCADA systems, MES platforms, and VM environments.
- Knowledge of industrial protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, Profibus, or Profinet.
- Basic SQL knowledge for database management and data mapping.
- Familiarity with CNC controllers such as Siemens, Fanuc, or Heidenhain is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams in manufacturing environments.
